Hugh McColl

Mr. McColl is the Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Falfurrias Capital Partners (FCP). Prior to co-founding FCP, a middle-market private equity firm in 2006 and McColl Partners, a middle-market mergers and acquisition advisory firm in 2001, Mr. McColl was chairman and chief executive officer of Bank of America.

During his tenure as chairman and CEO, Mr. McColl grew the institution from $12 billion in assets in 1983 to $642 billion in assets, $364 billion in deposits, and $48 billion in shareholders’ equity upon his retirement in April 2001. Additionally, the total shareholder return of Bank of America’s stock averaged 17% per year during Mr. McColl’s tenure as CEO. Since retiring from his 42-year career at Bank of America, he also founded two fine art consulting firms: McColl Fine Art in Charlotte, North Carolina, and MME Fine Art in New York.

Mr. McColl was born in Bennettsville, South Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1957 and served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1959.

He is married to the former Jane Spratt of York, South Carolina. They have three children and eight grandchildren.
